Jon Gruden will be UT's next coach

UT boosters do not pay as well as Auburn boosters do. At least when it comes to players.

Petrino to UK would make the most sense... you think UT is desperate, and they are. But UK is beyond pathetic.

Yep, Mark Stoops at KY. Maybe Jimbo Fisher at UT.

Lots of coaches have said they wouldn't take jobs, see saban and patrino two recent hires in the sec, to later accept. This thing is not over imo. I think things were beginning to surface too fast and gruden needs it to happen later to get his money from Tampa. I'm not totally giving up just yet.

Why would Jimbo Fisher leave FSU? He's only had top-five recruiting classes every year he's been head coach and is finally getting those guys into upper-classmen status. Hell, he's already getting SEC-type pay. More than Will Mushcamp and $200,000 less than Mark Richt.

Rumored he doesn't get along with the AD. He could get a raise so if he likes money that could be a reason. He has prior connections to Auburn.

Those are reasons he could leave but I seriously doubt he does and honestly not exciting enough of a hire for me as UT next coach.

If not Gruden than we need a slam dunk or we really do risk becoming a mid-tier SEC term for too long.


Maybe some would view Jimbo as a slam dunk? He has one big win against Miami when they were ranked and then South Carolina and Florida. Granted that is much better than Dooley but it aint that great.
