JRob Overrated?

The guy who says Leshaun Sims is garbage is obviously the expert on CBs.

 

He good because he made a play? Lol. Thats expected for everyone on a 53 man roster.

 

A "raw" rookie CB hanging with a bunch of veteran CBs is good, no matter who he is covering. Jackson has been a big surprise.

 

Sims has made plenty of plays dating back to last season. He might not be the best in the world, but he's solid.

 

Solid enough to ride the pine. Or was he solid enough for us to sign a 10m CB and draft one as well?

 

I actually like Sims and think he could be a very solid outside CB.

And of course this team needed to sign a FA CB and draft one.

Even if you believe Sims can be a capable corner, are you really gonna roll into your season with Brice McCain, Sims, and Kalan Reed as your top 3 corners?

 

our cb play is greatly improved and jrob did just about everything he could have to improve the group. Jackson is going to be a really good cb, he's already a solid #2, ryan will always be a solid #2 imo and sims looks to be a solid #2 as well. No we don't have a true shutdown cb right now, but jackson will be that in a year or 2. We now can focus on other areas and only draft late guys and sign cheap vets to fill the gaps. Jrob did a great job in this group.

 

Than why spend 10M on Ryan? Either draft one and spend your money else where if you thought Sims was a capable corner. He obviously wasnt. Is he better than McTurd and Kalan? Most def but how far better? is the real question here.

 

2 capable CBs isnt enough especially how often we're in the nickel and dime D. Spending that money on Ryan has proved a pretty good investment. Ryan is playing pretty good.

Not having McCain or reed on the field more than a couple plays per game was a huge upgrade.

 

I'm interested to see if Jones to IR will expose how we should have addressed our D, especially the pass rush. We wouldn't have been as bad at that position if Dodd wasn't a bust pick. I'd be surprised if we continue to have pressure.

The team has a good foundation except for our O scheme. We need pass rush. Bad.
