once he cut Perrish Cox this was inevitable.

 

WOW......I am shocked that this came so quickly. I imagined that if he continued to perform well he would get such a promotion. Webster held the title at the time he was fired. However, I did not see it coming so quickly.

He has done a great job IMO. Apparently AAS thinks it was well above & beyond.

I wonder if this now gives him control of the HC...........I am VERY curious about that. The last time a HC was fired, Whisenhunt, it came from Strunk; not Webster. If this gives him the power to Fire or Hire new HCs & personnel; it is very interesting. Hopefully the team keeps winning & we do not have to worry about such things. However, if the team regresses next year; I am curious as to who now makes the call on the HC. According to Strunk, "it puts him on equal footing with others in the league who direct football operations." Most of THOSE GMs have control of the HCs.

Before anyone jumps me; I am not saying fire Mularkey. I am saying: IF we go backwards next season (AND I HOPE WE DO NOT); it sets up an interesting situation.

 

As long as it doesn't interfere with what he's been doing...
