Derrick Morgan was a middle pick, and Kenny Britt was a late pick. Your logic is silly Metta.
They have been good players while they are healthy on the field.. which has been about 20% of their careers lol
If you want to give titans fans something to be happy about then you need to convince the commish to call the 2012 season a "Do Over".
Te'o would come in and be the face of this franchise, change the perception of this team and this city.
He has a Ray Lewis effect, and talent to go with it. We could build our defense around him and be superbowl contenders. Or we can win out, go 8-8, draft whoever Alex Okafor is, watch him fade into obscurity. See Munch sign an extension, and suffer through watching this abomination of an organization keep running for 5 more years.
I'm all for Te'o
He's a top 10 pick though, so if we finish middle of the pack again, he wont be there for us.
A bird in the hand is better than two in the bush. Would rather see current young players do well, knowing they have a future, then see them flame out and lose out. Would rather see that we have a core to build around with guys like Kendall Wright, Jake Locker, Mike Martin, Zach Brown, Akeen Ayers, Tyler Thompson and even CJ. Better to have a solid core with a future than watch these guys flame out so we can move up and roll the dice on another high pick.
No one is for sure. Te'o could end up like Andre Wadsworth. Guy with amazing talent who could never come close to staying healthy. And remember, our two highest picks since moving to Nashville have been Pacman Jones and Vince Young.
Like high draft picks. Cheer for the Raiders or Browns. They get one every year. And still suck.
^ Totally agree.
Honestly, I think he is top 5. We are no where near him.
