That's why you start off as an ASSISTANT. I would not be opposed to that.. But to thrust him into a position coach is silly. You don't do that based off of how good a player was.

BUD has a no nepotism policy, and then immediately hires only his buddies and former players!!!!!!!!

NO MORE FORMER OILERS/TITANS GETTING GIFTED POSITIONS OF AUTHORITY!!!!!

LoneWolf a side argument of yours is we should probably hire Lamont Thompson as our Safeties coach because he was so terrible, yeah? ;)

Thats exactly what I'm saying. Morgan did really credit him for helping out, and i'm sure he's not just saying that to be nice.

You gotta believe a pro like KB can help in his own way.

hahhaa ma bad bro. change 'you' to 'these guys' lol. i saw that you were in opposition to that, and yes, i agree....

    --

Again focus on the 'fan happiness' part of the post a bit more, really anything to help me stay interested is desired....

For the past IDN HOW MANY YEARS NOW, we have been talking about this damn team's potential. This year, I really believed we'd take that step. Colts lost seemingly everybody, Jags sucked, and with the Texans the only good team, I really thought we'd make some noise...

With the Texans in the 2nd round of the playoffs, combined with what Andrew did and will do for the next 10+ years, and the Jags continually getting really high picks.... ****'in hell...

Its amazing how quickly things change (and yes, that can still be the case for the positive), but this year guys really got to me as a fan...

NOTE - I WILL NEVER JUMP SHIP, IMA TRUE FAN so don't give me that garbage of 'you are this' and 'you are that.' And while to some extent I always believed in that potential we'd talk about year in and year out, I REALLY believed it would materialize this year... The fact WE ARE AGAIN talking about cleaning house and needing perhaps another QB, just F***, I mean c'mon!

I love Keith and would love to bring him on but like Jeff pointed out he has no coaching experience at all.

Got to start somewhere. We can atleast bring him in as a Defensive Assistant/Linebacker Specialist... just like David Ragone is a D-Assistant/Pass Rush Specialist. KB would atleast bring some fire back to this defense and couple potentially amp up the defenders on the sidelines. There's a ton of players who come back as assistants, see Herm Edwards for example.

another knock on him, IMO.. is that we know how he acts when things don't go his way.. went spouting off to the media about how he was "mistreated" by the Titans not giving him a gift contract even though he was no longer any good. That's not how the NFL works, bud.

The difference is, Nickey stayed at a consistent level of suck, and was cheap, and Fisher loved him. Still was stupid, no doubt. The Nickey situation was one in a million.

after the Injury, Bulluck took a huge nosedive, and was no longer worth vet minimum. He wanted a substantial contract.. and could not come to grips that he no longer was starting NFL material. Teams don't often offer big contracts to formerly good LBs right off a serious injury.
