The Titans were finally able to turn first round pick Kendall Wright loose on Saturday, and the team liked what it saw.

Wright made a handful of catches during a practice at LP Field, including a nice over-the-shoulder catch on a ball thrown by quarterback Matt Hasselbeck.

Wright was forced to wear a red non-contact jersey during his first two days of practice after signing with the team earlier in the week.

“I feel great being out of the red jersey and being able to practice for real,’’ said Wright, the team’s first round pick. “I am getting to feeling more like myself every day. I just have to keep getting in shape and just keep working hard in the offense.”

Wright made a nice catch in the corner of the end zone during the session, but officials who worked the practice ruled him out of bounds.

Coach Mike Munchak said he was impressed with Wright.

“I think he was embarrassed to be in the red (jersey),’’ Munchak said. “He was begging (Friday) not to wear it. It’s good to have him getting back into it, getting back into the feel of the game. He’ll be more involved moving forward.”

You think that was a holdout? How long have you been watching NFL football?

I wasn't thrilled with him missing a fews days either, but nothing happens those practices that he can't make up for. Thank God for OTA's this year.

A mild hiccup in contract negotiations at best.

You get mad at players for wanting to maximize their value, the Shelf life for nfl players is short. He's gotta get what he can get because after his rookie contract, he'll likely sign one monster contract if he's worth it.

Don't blame Kendall. If you want to blame anyone, blame the bucs last year

the "holdout" could've lasted 10 minutes and you still would've had a cow about it. your repeatedly stated dislike for this guy is ridiculous.
