Kenneth Goit's 2015 QB Productivity Ratings

Mett wasn't even a good backup this past year. Based on the way he played he was barely worth a roster spot.

He's young and played better in 2014 but there is little reason for anybody to expect he will be a solid starting QB in this league.

Why is this even an issue?

 

People can come up with all these different formulas for evaluating QB play but none are better than the passing rating. The only issue with passer ratings is you can't compare QBs from different eras but this formula doesn't work that way either and either does the espn rating.

How is Russell Wilson who had one of the best years ever as a passer-runner only ranked 7th?

 

Vy was more productive with a worse wr group and a line that sucked until 2008 of course.

 

He had 8 games with a QPR below 30. That drops his average tremendously. If you look at the second half of the season alone, his average is a staggering 64.99.

 

Further, he only had a 21.02 average in the first half.

What about the wins or the rushing yards. Numbers dont mean nothing if you go what 3-9 as a starter

 

3-9 as a starter and lost 4-6 games by 3 points or less even with the worst roster in the nfl. BTW VY only have 300 more yards rushing than mariota on 49 more rushing attempts, Mariota had 34 rushing attempts for 252 when VY had 83 attempts for 552 yards, plus VY played in 3 more games than Mariota and still didn't get as many yards so hows that more productive?
Mariota had more yards and TD's less interceptions and less fumbles than VY comparing rookie seasons.

 

Let it go. Not worth it.
