Wide receiver Kenny Britt remains on the Physically Unable to Perform list, and he won’t be removed soon. Britt has stepped up his rehabilitation on both knees, though, and appears to be making progress.

The past two days Britt has worked on a side field with strength and conditioning coach Steve Watterson as the rest of the team practiced. Britt recently had arthroscopic surgeries on both knees.

“Kenny is getting better every day,” coach Mike Munchak said. “We have him on a pretty aggressive program, working six out of seven days a week. … It is going as well as can be expected right now. He has been doing a lot of running.”

It is “hard to tell” just how long Britt might remain on PUP, Munchak said.

“He’ll stay there until we feel he is over the hump, until both knees feel pretty good with no setbacks as far as swelling or soreness,” Munchak said. “Right now, everything is great. I think he is surprised with how well he has been progressing. But it is a day by day thing with injuries like that and hopefully he’ll be fine as we get close to the season.”
