SAN DIEGO It wasn’t a spectacular comeback, but wide receiver Kenny Britt was just happy to be back in an NFL game again for the first time since tearing his ACL on Sept. 25, 2011.

Britt was targeted twice and caught one pass for five yards. He was rotated in and out of the lineup for precautionary reasons, and because he’s not yet in prime game condition. “It was exciting to be out there on the plays,” he said. “It felt good out there. I was happy not to have any setbacks.”

Asked if he expected to play more snaps, Britt said: “I thought maybe a little more, just depending on how I felt. But … I was expecting that. I thought I’d get a little more as the game went on because I was feeling good. I was ready to go back out there, but it is what it is.”

Wide receiver Nate Washington, who suffered a leg contusion last week, saw limited duty as well. He produced two catches for 20 yards. “I was feeling pretty good,” Washington said. “They were just monitoring me, making sure everything was going to be OK.”
