Kenny Britt: knees feel ‘great’

    Wide receiver Kenny Britt missed practice for the second straight day, but neither Britt nor coach Mike Munchak sounded concerned.

    Britt has been experiencing swelling and soreness with his right knee, Munchak said, but is expected to play Saturday against the Bengals even if he’s held out of practice again Tuesday.

    “We just have to be smart, because it is all about getting him to September,” Munchak said.

    Britt said his knees feel “great.” He had ACL surgery on his left knee in 2011, but he’s also had arthroscopic surgery on his right knee.

    “No concerns at all,’”Britt said. “I wish I could be out there practicing with the fellas, but I am just taking a few days off and making sure I don’t have any setbacks.”

    If we can get the unstoppable Kenny Britt back that was dominating opposing defenses in 2010-2011 then our offense could be really good this season.If we can bring our punishing running game as well as having Britt back to being dominant opposing defenses will have a hard time stopping us.

    I am encouraged by Britt for this coming season. For a change this off season Britt stayed in shape and was not arrested. And he is healthier than last year. Should be a good one for Britt.

    That's why I'm hoping he lights it up and we tag him. Force him to at least give us 2 solid seasons before letting his ass walk.
