Lakers fire Mike Brown after losing 4 games

There has been some discussion on here about firing a head coach in the NFL mid season and most seem to think it is really stupid. But the Lakers just pulled the trigger on their staff after 5 games. That is 5 out 82 regular season games. It should be noted that NFL coaching is a much more complicated science than basketball and includes a bigger staff. So I suppose I'm comparing apples to oranges. But if you want to see an organization that is committed to wining, look no farther than the Lakers. And before you blindly criticize Jerry Bus for this you must take note of the fact that this is one of the most successful franchises in the country. How different could the Titans history have been if we had an owner more like Jerry Bus?

If the Lakers were willing to fire Mike Brown after 5 NBA games, why could we not do it now?

 

I know what you mean. The Lakers are based in L.A. and the Titans in Nashville. Again apples to oranges but the Lakers are able to do this for a bigger reason than just where they live is the point I'm trying to make. It didn't happen overnight and winning breeds respect. It isn't like the franchise started out here and the Oilers/Titans have been in existence a long time. There is no excuse why we shouldn't be a respected and feared franchise.
