Gasol had to go. The Chicago deal would have been better. Wish they would have taken that one last year. Oh well let the rebuilding begin.

Gasol isn't worth a combination of Deng or Gordon or Hinrich. Look what the Lakers parted with to get him.

Boston won't bow out in round 1. There are 3 good teams in the East, the rest are garbage.

So what do you think about Dallas and New Jersey trying to cheat the system? Makes Devean look like an angel. Stackhouse really screwed this thing up. You just wonder what was Dallas thinking while they were trying to construct this thing. They were probably so concerned about getting Stack back they forgot to look into the Devean G. contract. What a mess.

On the bright side, deals gone wrong have worked out ok in the past. The Rockets tried to trade Horry for Elliot, and because of a physical, it was denied. The Rockets went on to win the championship. And a fews later, so did Elliot.

Looks like Kidd will be a Maverick soon and it's without giving up Stackhouse this time around. This is the last push from Cuban to win a title, I hope my Mavs can do it.

last push? You know Mark Cuban. If this doesn't work out, he'll wipe the entire slate clean and try to make something happen from scratch. Gotta love an owner that actually cares about the team and the game.

I think like Magic Johnson does on this one. Every player will work harder knowing they could get easy points by simply running plays and running to the right spot. So I think the Mavs will get better even tho they get older. Kidd will make everyone better by just being there. But he's also that good. The real problem with this deal tho is that it did not strengthen the team considerably at it's weaker positions. Which is why I like what Pheonix (shaq ), the Lakers ( Gasol ), and Houston have done ( Scola ). They substantially improved the weakest positions on their respective teams. That said, Dallas was one player away last year, so if they can regain that feel, they could be the best in the west. I just don't sense that they are there yet.

With this move, I still think they're the 3rd best in their division. The rest of the west just got stronger this year. Gonna be a tough year to make the playoffs.
