Well now we have Gregg Williams helping with the fries.
Williams is gathering LBs that can blitz. I will be happy just to see more than 4 people rush the QB for once.
I'm as excited as anyone, but we don't know how any of these guys will fit, we don't know how other teams will finish up free agency, and we don't know as much about other teams.
I'd say that at least 20-25 teams feel like they can be legit playoff teams next years.
Everyone should feel good about going into next year but looking at just us:
-Brought in Gregg Williams to help with the defense, I have a feeling he's going to have more say than the staff is letting on.
-Picked up George Wilson to replace Babs.
-Signed the best pass blocking OG in the NFL and top 10 OG overall, Levitre.
-Signed Walker who is a more cheaper and versatile alternative to Cook, and a leader.
-Brought in a true back up RB in Greene to help with the running game and help CJ.
-Hill is a big ol DT that we've been missing for a while.
-Fokou is LB depth
-Looking at another LB, DE, and WR to help out.
-Plus the draft.
Honestly, if we grab the guys we;re expected to and have another good draft then we might win a wild card spot.
Hmmm did I or did I not say this would happen a day or two ago in another thread? Yea...
Yea in the thread about the DE yesterday afternoon I did. If people would pay attention everyone would've known this already. So TWW2 when I said Wright was the only receiver that can beat press coverage it wasn't coming from me, it's coming from football ops guys in the organization.
I think the team should have taken a wild card last year and simply didn't perform, so yeah, I expect a wild card.
I just think we are hoping for the best and the guys we picked up are largely unproven.
From the sound of Jim Wyatt, its just to get to know him, not immediate signing
I'm guessing your wife never gets on this site...
