If you are looking for a money league $125 I may have a few spots.

Also (and I can't believe this) Yahoo is actually running money leagues. But they are keeping 10%. So $100 league per player with only $900 payout... and you can't have friends join.

So if you want a full payout league for fun let me know.

So tempting. My friends are all too scared of me to put money in.

I didn't even win this year. My friend who was most scared about putting money down won it.

I think that's more money than I can do this year... Especially since I do plan on doing some betting on NFL games this year.

Thats a bad deal Alex. Unless you can potentially receive $1500 its a dumb investment

Cool. There is a lot of time before our draft if you change your mind.

And we have enough to do a 8 person league, so the league is a go... no worries there.

Although you is trolling here is the deal....

    $125 buy-in

    $1250 pot with 10 players

    $600 winner (sb champ
$275 regular season champ (best record, tie breaker points)
$250 2nd place (sb runner up)
    $125 3rd place (game winner)

SOOOOOO... you could win $875 which is really $750 after entry fee. Really just makes 14 weeks of keeping up with managing a roster worth it and actually exciting.

Think about it, $750 is a nice new electronic to the winner... you can buy a good TV with that! or play fantasy football for 6 more years paid for!

This league has been going strong for 6 years but there has been a lot of turnover. This is only my 2nd year running it.

I'll consider it... I like the idea of still being able to win a little bit or get my money back for finishing well. I've never finished worse than 3rd in a head to head league.

All depends on how much money I have saved up when I head off to Knoxville in a couple months. Gas is going to be a total killer since I'll be driving back for every home game and also plan on going to two away games (Indy and Green Bay).

JCBrave, I don't understand why you think it's a bad deal? I'm not making any cut by hosting the league.

I do understand 1) that people don't want to give money away to someone they don't really know and 2) some people would rather not pay upfront.

We require money upfront so there is no chasing anyone down after the season is over to collect their entry, that way I can payout immediately when the season finishes.

That's the only way to go. I tried to be nice one year and let a guy join and ended up having to chase him down four or five weeks after the season. Thankfully I won and didn't owe anyone money, but it was still a giant pain in the :moon2:.
