I think you are off on this idea he left because they got beat. All of the top 3 had to opt out or their combined deals would have taken up almost the entire salary cap. Even having opted out, I think it was a certainty he was either staying in Miami, or returning to Cleveland. He went back to his hometown, and to a team that could give him a max deal. I dont see what is wrong with that. And you cant say he has quit on team mates unless you think every player who leaves via free agency quit on their team mates. His contract was up in Cleveland, and he had an option in Miami. He didn't sit out to force a trade, or hold out for a bigger contract or something like that. He left at times that he had options to leave.

... he clearly quit on his team. Who stayed? Oh. Right. Bosh and Wade both stayed. Bosh just got ridiculous money... think that wouldn't have gone to LBJ?

Stop making excuses for the coward.

Bosh only stayed because once Lebron was gone Miami was able to way over pay him. Bosh would have been in Houston most likely if Lebron had stayed, because Houston could have offered more money at that point. The ridiculous money you are talking about Bosh getting, wouldnt have been an option to Bosh had Lebron stayed.

Plus, by your logic, you must also think that Chris Paul quit on the Hornets, Carmelo quit on Denver, Steve Nash quit on Dallas and Phoenix, Bosh quit on Toronto, Kevin Love is about to quit on Minnesota, etc etc. Other than Dirk, Kobe, Wade, and the Spurs trio, how many top tier players havent switched teams?

And of course Wade stayed. Wade is injury prone and past his prime, nobody outside of Miami was going to pay him.

Chris Paul didn't lose a championship... bail. Lose another championship with a new team... and bail again.

Big difference. And yes... of course Bosh doesn't get that money if Lebron stays. Lebron gets it.

This is habit for Lebron. There's the difference. Also- no one looked favorably on CP when he left the Hornets for LA, either.

    It's not quitting, it's business.

Kobe asking the Lakers to trade him because they sucked is quitting.

    Kobe tells Stephen A. Smith:
"I would like to be traded. And as tough as it is to say that, as tough as it is to come to that conclusion, there's no other alternative."
