  1. jerome definately should be in

lendale isnt going to be the same type of back that bettis was, yes he will be more of a power back than speed back but hes a bit faster than bettis with not as much power, hes not going to run people over as much as bettis did

Look at Bettis' stats without his last season (where he was playing mainly as a goalline/short yardage back) 180 games, 12 seasons, 13294 yards, 3369 carries, 73.85 yards per game, 1107.83 yards per season, 3.9 ypc. Aside from ypc, everything else improves a lot, he's also had eight 1000+ yard seasons, four 1300+ yard seasons, three 1400+ yard seasons, one season over 1600 yards and only two under 800 yards (three if you include 2005 as the short yardage guy to Willie Parker) how can you say those aren't HOF worthy numbers?

those are not hall of fame numbers to me. it only takes 62.5 yards per game to get 1000 yards and he got 73.85, big whoop. that is not special.

he was very good, not great.

Keep in mind, he spent the better part of two of those seasons as a second RB (2003 to Amos Zereoue and 2004 to Duce Staley) but he still managed 811 yards in 03 and 941 in 04, he also was hurt in 02

Right now he's our #1, and even if we sign Dillon he's still our #1. People are talking like White is Skip Hicks here. Go back and watch White's last 2 years at USC. He was a wrecking ball even out of shape. He juked, he spun and he rambled like a man on a mission. Remember the 2006 Rose Bowl? He was in there, not Reggie Bush, in a key situation at the end. He had some sparks last year, but the first 5 games everyone was out of synch. Don't forget the VY factor, with him being back there, noone can really be set on what to do on D. White will be a good #1 back in his second season, he's got a lot to prove but like Young, he's got tons of talent. And he's way younger than that traitor Henry...

everyone brings that up like it is a huge deal. i would rather have a 250 lbs back in on 4th and 1 than a 205 lbs scat-back, it's just good coaching to put your players in a position to succeed. lendale also got stopped by a 205 lbs saftey.
