He'll turn in another great performance, get overlooked, and people will talk about how some mediocre supporting actor (*cough* Joseph Gordon Levit *cough*) stole the show.

    Looks interesting though.

You mean from the people that are too self-conscious about liking anything popular, sounds exactly like one of my best friends lol.

But leave JGL out of this and choose someone else, because he's a fine young actor and was great in Inception. :)

I think JGL is a decent actor. He just did nothing in Inception to "steal the show" as everyone said he did. Leo actually turned in a performance. JGL walked through a boring role.

Which isn't his fault. His character just had no depth. People are stuck on the "aw that's the kid that was on 3rd rock. Look at him all grown up." kick.

Isn't anyone else tired of Leo? I am. The guy is so one dimensional. He plays the (I'm on the verge of insanity, I have nothing to lose) type of character over and over and over. I want to see some vulnerability, maybe some quirkiness. I just feel like I'm watching the same movie over and over again (with the exception of The Departed).

I wouldn't say he stole the show but his role was far from boring, he was the star of the best scene (rotating hallway) in Inception. And he had a lot of funny moments, I'd say Tom Hardy stole the show though.

He's a good actor, watch 50/50, Brick, 500 Days of Summer, Stop-Loss to name a few from the top of my head.

Lol if anything, The Departed fits that description the best and his role in that was similar to the one in Blood Diamond and Shutter Island.

The Departed was the emergence of this style of acting from him. Look at films like "Gangs of New York" and "The Aviator", THAT is acting. I haven't seen a better performance from an actor in "The Aviator" in a LONNNG time. He KILLED it.

In my opinion, he needs to tone down/bulk up his acting a bit...it comes off as over-acting and even bordering on just line reading in some scenes.

True, true, haven't seen The Aviator but I think you need to include The Departed up there with his best performances, very, very underrated in that movie IMO.
