Linebackers situation is bleak

yea maybe he just gave up since he realized he knows more than his coach.....still not a good thing.

 

The LBs are not a position of need. Sorry.

Maybe MLB depending if you think McCarthy can stay healthy.

We definitely need to spend an early pick on a LB but I prefer it to be a MLB. I still believe in Brown & Ayers. They deserve next year, at least. Ayers & Brown have made A LOT of plays in their young careers. I think they'll be better off with an improved staff. Should have never fired the LB coach.

 

Don't be sorry because I hope you're right. Hopefully gooden turns into a good player. Hopefully Mccarthy can stay healthy. Hopefully ayers can learn how to so something other than rush the passer. Unfortunately, none of those things are looking like they will happen. Therefore, yes, linebacker will prove to be a huge need next season, as it was this season.

Our run defense wasn't horrible for no reason guys.

 

Hopefully McCarthy is the next Patrick Bailey, a backup LB and special teams ace that earns a reasonable amount of money. Brown is good, everybody chill! Ayers is playing reasonably well through an injury like Casey did last year. Gooden got hurt in camp and has had a late start, but his increased playing time lately is a good sign that he can play. Fokou is solid against the run, but MLB is a need.
