How could he get better? Worst coaches in the league and an O-Line the Washington Huskies would laugh at. No QB stands a chance here.

I havent seen a dropoff like this before with a QB.

I see what you are saying, but when you get 1 play out of every 5 with good protection, how can you expect that throw to be accurate? Its not like he knows he will have time. He is just trying to play for his life every single play it looks like. So even when he is getting good protection (which is rare) he is rattled from every other play, and it is affecting him imo.

I really won't expect much from him with this line and coaching staff ... but that is why some QBs are considered 'busts'. They were just put in terrible situations and never got a fair shot. If we don't make some serious changes to the coaching/OL, then Locker may end up being that type of 'bust'

    he still deserves time though

I try to give players the benefit of the doubt. It is still around that time we can say Locker is young and raw, but I wanted this year to be Locker's time to show progression. At this time, I see no progression in Locker.

If not for Locker's good attitude and work ethic, I would be completely calling for a new QB next year.

I know everyone and their momma is going to come out now and claim Jake is a bust (and today he stunk) but theres easily 40 other problems bigger than him. He'll be fine, just gotta dump these idiots calling the shots.

There is a reason some NFL scouts had him rated as a 2nd round QB.

Most QB's in the NFL have played 4+ years at the position before theyre drafted, Jake is just now getting to that point. I don't think people fully realize how raw he was coming into the league. He wasn't in a pro style offense in high school or all of college. And Carolina was fully prepared to take Jake NO.1 over all in 2010 had he come out, the dude can ball but things have to line up for that to happen.

I have no idea but he doesn't seem to have any zip on a pass over 10 yards. I would not be surprised to find out something's wrong. It would make me feel better than thinking he's 100% right now and playing this bad.

Well at least you're finally somewhat coming to your senses and not claiming he's one of the best DBs in the league like you were.

But no, he's not our best DB. Verner is better than him and has shown it for 2 seasons consistently.

And don't give me interception numbers because last week he had 2 fall right in his hands Michael Griffin style.
