Loggains on the field, Moore in the booth

New Titans offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains will call Sunday’s game against the Texans from the field, while new offensive assistant Tom Moore will work from the coaching booth.

Coach Mike Munchak said he hoped the 74-year-old Moore, who was added to the staff this week, would remain with the Titans the rest of the season. Moore is best known for his work as offensive coordinator with the Colts and quarterback Peyton Manning.

Moore did some work as a consultant for the University of Alabama earlier this season, Munchak said. He was a consultant with the Jets last season.

“Teams do this a lot,” Munchak said. “You can’t be afraid to bring in people to get opinions on different ways to do things. Guys like Tom Moore visit a lot of people with ideas and things to do. He’s a guy that allows you to think big picture, not just for this year, but for the future.”
