Silva is a world-class troll and kissed him. He's notorious for taunting his opponents and playing mind games with them. I remember one time, just for the fun of it, Silva started training with Steven Seagal. There was another time, during a fight, where he started making Bruce Lee sound effects. At the same time, he is one of the best ever.

Because nearly everyone I know that enjoys it is an obnoxious white trash trailer monkey that wears Tapout shirts in public.

Then they "wrestle" with their bros before playing hours of Call of Duty and slamming Mountain Dew.

They usually have a job in some type of warehouse and think that Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge is a legit place to spend a weekend.

    WAS the fastest growing sport.

MMA died quicker than my macbook battery does.

Can anyone even name more than 1 relevant MMA fighter today? Doubt it.

yeah all the rules ruined the sport

when its was a borderline blood sport it ruled!

It was all over when the clock started counting down instead of forward

    Yeah.

back in the day it was brutal and hard/exciting to watch.

    Now it's either 1 punch/kick and it's waved off -- or it's a dry-hump fest and total bromance.

Ok man I don't do any of that **** and I watch MMA randomly but the entire world does not reflect middle Tennessee. This sport is global. Millions of people watch this stuff and I have friends in Cali I watched it with tonight. None of them wear Tapout shirts and none of them care to explain their shitty work life. I understand where you are coming from. I'm from TN and I can't stand the types you speak of but it's bigger than just the idiots around you and it shouldn't stop you from liking something you may enjoy otherwise.

I agree the earlier years were the most exciting but the rules need to be in place. There's rules in every sport. It's still the fastest growing sport and is still the most dynamic. Like I said I just watch when friends want to get together for beers when it's not football season. There's still nothing like watching a guy like Silva getting KTFO while trying to be cool.
