Try going to the homepage to search, rather than doing it from inside a thread. With this search I put quotes around "Mack Brown" so it would search for the whole thing together.

I bet the Texas admins have a candidate list for that future HC opening a mile long. What a massive program. Im sure they will be able to pick from the best of the best when the wheel-o-coaches spins again later this season. The only competition in the market this offseason that might be out there for Texas is USC.. Im sure both offices have that in mind and will be keeping an eye on what the other is doing.

Apparently Charlie Strong will be the next HC. Can't blame him. More money than Louisville can offer and Bridgewater is leaving.

    Anyone but Jimbo Fisher.

That's a shocker down in the "good ole boy" Texas..

Charlie Strong is a big name to people who watch football, but I thought they would target someone everyone knows.

Anyhow, that's a great hire and he will do good at UT.

I think it's a great hire. He's been able to pull recruits from Florida to Louisville. Now you combine that pipeline with your pick of the litter from the Texas prospects. He should do just fine there, as long as they give him a year or two to get things right...
    Titanup1982 high fives this.

Time will tell. It shouldn't be hard to pull recruits to UT even with a lame duck coach.

He turned Louisville into contenders, so there is no doubt he will put UT back on the map.

I have liked him since his he was with the Gators.
