Not got madden since 2003. Played one of the more recent ones on 360. Same fricken game just better visuals. Stupid to buy the same game every year at full price. Last football game I bought and IMO still the best NFL2k5. Still have it.

yep thats why EA got that exclusive deal with the NFL, so they can rehash the heck out of Madden without any competition to deal with. NFL 2K was getting better and better and the price of $19.99 was killing EA.

Despite the fact it never got close to outselling Madden.

it was gaining market share, EA had to nip it in the bud.

Ill pay $100 for Madden if Collinsworth isn't commentating on it. I can't stand that mans voice.

I agree that it needs to be completely torn down and rebuilt. I also agree that the changes aren't enough to make the game "New" and "Groundbreaking". However, whether or not the games are the same repackaged game as the year before it, they are enjoyable. (at least for a while) And the franchise mode is the reason I play it, so I welcome the improvements in that area.

I think this years Madden will be the best ever. They're actually making some pretty big changes. Basically re-doing Superstar mode (my favorite mode) and making alot of changes to franchise mode. They re-did how tackles are done and added a ton of new animations. Finally fixed coverages for defense, and a ton of other small changes that will improve the game. I'm soo excited for Madden this year.

And that's why we'll never see a good Madden again until the exclusive license runs out. Those things MIGHT be fixed to the point of those bugs being gone, but there will be 10 more things that were fine last year and won't work this year.

I loved Madden too, two years ago. After I returned madden 10 for the first time in my life I was willing to give Madden 11 another chance. After they released a game in which there was absolutely no way to play zone defense, the players moved like molasses, and the post route was absolutely uncoverable, I returned Madden 11. How those things are not apparent during beta testing and fixed is beyond me. It became apparent they don't care about the product, just the dollar signs.

I'm never giving my money to that company again until I thoroughly test it out on a friend's console first.
