Your decision making doesn't make sense. If you would not have taken Mariota because you had Mett, why would you trade for a mediocre QB paid like a top 5 guy only to sit Mett on the bench to do what? Waste a ton of money? Why go after Glennon? If you're not taking a QB at #2, then your decision is to start Mett which is fine. But to not take a QB at 2 and not believe in Mett enough to start him makes no sense. Clearly Cutler and Glennon are not the answer on their teams....so why do you want them?

And on a separate note, trading FOR Cutler is ridiculous as his stats are mediocre at best and you have to pay him for this year AND next year so you are giving up that money in payment AND in cap hit...for a mediocre player who played mediocre with a better cast than he has here. Certainly NOT what I would do!

Has Russell Wilson? He's run more than all the other Running QB's and he hasn't been killed by it? 2 Super Bowls later, they will continue to run it because like Oregon, its a MAJOR factor in their success in the running game!

Russell Wilson rarely gets hit and is 5'11. My main point was MM being lanky.

But do what you wish and all you guys bitching about Locker getting hurt, keep asking for MM to run the triple option and zone read. Makes perfect sense

27 fumbles in 3 years. I hope they don't plan on intentionally running him often until that is fixed.

Locker was compact, still got hurt. Mariota being skinny isn't going to be why he gets hurt or not. He plays fast, he'll be good out there..

Only time you set yourself up is when you slow down, Mariota is a natural runner, he's somehow survived all those hits in the past.. Guys just built right for the job.

I've seen bigger QB's goes down just as easy...(Nick Foles) being recent. It's all in how you slide, see the field, and decision you make generally. Sure, some are just injury prone (Locker) but that's not always the case.

Take a look at McNair and Big Ben then look at Kaep

Size doesn't necessarily equate to how injury prone someone will be.

Oh man. .. this wrong, but...

Biggest difference is... Mariota is darker than Locker and lighter than VY.

Until he takes snaps in the regular season, that's the only real difference we'll notice.
