I like your reasoning for trying to drown Mularkey, thatll be good when the police question your motives.

He'll probably smell worse after coming out of that nasty river, but the Gatorade is just too sticky feeling. I prefer orange.

    Be honest with yourself...
Mariota has played through 13 FULL games. He still has a lot to learn as far as becoming a traditional NFL qb. Just keep that into perspective as your trying to whine about him not having a bunch of clutch moments to look back on. He was supposed to take a lot longer to grasp the pro game and you should be thankful that there isn't a lot more stuff to be complaining about. Enjoy the win and stfu. :)

If Mariota can avg atleast 230 yards and get 2 wins over the next 3 games his stats would be a lot more comparable to Winston through 16 games.

Mariota is a franchise QB. Haven't seen anything yet to suggest he has HOF potential , but thus far in his career he appears to be a valuable QB worthy of building a team around. And that is VERY different from Young or Locker.

We're in year one of a re-build. We did the OL/RB's. We'll do the D next year. And it will be year 3 of Mariota.

I like where we're going except our coaching. Mularkey may be OK IF, we can get/keep excellent coordinators. LeBeau may have 3 years left in him, hopefully more. I've seen all I need to see out of Robiskie to know he is every bit unqualified as we thought when he was hired. Hope Mularkey and/or JR sees the same.

3 more years from LeBeau sounds very optimistic to me, but I hope you're right.

Quick - name the top 5 players on this team that we can't live without. Walker will be in that group.

One upside to MM is that he hasn't tried to force throws in that can be picked easily by an undercut. His weakness is the deep ball, and trying to extend plays that should be dumped and move on to the next one. This will come with time and experience. Most of the time he is really on target, but throws a little low sometimes. You can see some passes he is comfortable with, and others not so much. One thing he is though, that ALL NFL QB's have to have, is decisive. When he makes up his mind, he cuts loose. No patting the ball, no pumping - zoom....it's gone.

You do realize, 3 of his 4 wins out of 13 starts are 4th quarter come from behind victories.

If we didn't get robbed in the Oakland game he'd have 4 come from behind 4th quarter victories.
