If fantasy football is the best way to gauge how good a QB really is, can we trade for bum ass Bortles?

 

Doesn't have to be a oregon's offense to utilize mariota's strengths... look at how seattle molded their offense around wilson. How many times has mariota looked like a completely different player when running uptempo and picking apart a team on short to intermediate passes with more than 2WR sets? We have the most simple passing attack in the NFL and you think it's good for him? It's like driving a 1985 toyota camry because you don't want to ding your ferrari so you leave it in the garage.

 

I mean it's okay to discus fantasy impact but you can't go using fantasy impact to quantify or explain how so and so is being used.

Take bortles 33 point game against us where he obviously sucked donkey balls... 33 points for fantasy tho. His windmill slam dunk throwing motion wasn't even witnessed lol.

 

Watch the games, when Mariota is throwing accurate passes, everything is fine. When he isn't, everything is terrible. You can blame the system, the WR's, the O-Line, whatever else helps you get through it, but the facts are... when Mariota is throwing catchable balls, the team looks good, when he isn't the team looks bad. The system doesn't cause Mariota to throw the ball inaccurate or accurate.

 

You could say that about any offense. When matt ryan is most accurate the falcons score more points.

Just because we can move the ball doesn't mean that mariota's ceiling isn't limited in this offensive system.

 

Seattle was molded around a running game and strong D. Wilson has always put up pedestrian passing numbers. Last year was the only year he actually put up elite passer numbers.

 

and he struggles with the simple passing attack.. throwing him into a more complex passing attack at this time is asking for problems .

 

Seattle didn't spread things out and adjust when wilson was struggling? interesting.
