Some are calling him the "best overall player" at the senior bowl.

18th for the best player among the guys at the senior bowl sounds like a bargain.

I was thinking about this lately, maybe after our first pick we go TE if we dont go with Davis or Williams early, we use our 2nd TE just about as much as we do our 2nd WR.

2 defensive studs and the drafts best TE wouldn't be a bad way to attack this draft.

well we really dont know that as of right now.

once FA comes along we may have tied up all the loose ends, and not draft based on need.

Id much prefer that route than filling needs and reaching for talent.

JR has shown the ability to maneuver thru FA and acquire good players, I hope this offseason is like last years.

We're strong up front in the box, and only a CB or two away from having a complete D. I think we add some guys in FA and go into the draft looking for the best players on the board regardless of position.

Yea I've been telling folks for some time now the my stud TE theory with this offense. You have another TE that can play inline or flex and you essentially blur together our 11 and 12p.

It doesn't have to be the top two TEs in the draft but say we wanted a WR and he wasn't available at 18 but OJ or Njoku were, makes sense to get another guy that'll see the field 75% of the snaps.

Its a solid plan if we continue with a lot of 2 TE sets, Fasano is virtually useless as a receiver unless he's pealing back and no ones looking

Right, why look at them as ONLY a tight end? I'd view OJ or Njoku as a 6'5" 250 lb monster that can be a big time RZ threat and block well in our run first offense.

Needless to say, I'm getting much more on-board with taking a TE high.

If I survive this Walmart run Im about to make Ill get into the TE's after

I just haven't cared to look at them with Walker still here, but he could literally fall off at any moment being one of our older players

To think of it another way, we're 1 play away from Fasano being our #1 TE.

IDK if Fasano would be the #1 in that situation. Somehow we allowed Jace Amaro to sub in for Walker week-3 when he was out, and he did pretty good
