Can't sign the big guy until after the season which means, at the earliest, the week after the ticker tape parade on 2nd Ave following the Super Bowl.

we can sign him after the regular season, we don't have to wait until after the post-season.

Sure bout that? I thought it was "the season" which meant as long as the Titans continue to play.

Either way, Haynesworth won't sign anything until he gets some offers on the open market.

"Tennessee will do what it can to keep him. They can't start negotiations until after the regular --season finale and some think they were close enough to a deal last summer that things will get pieced together. I think it may prove to be easy for him to decide to wait and see what the market has to offer. If that's the case, McCardell thinks two teams that have faced him twice a year should be among his suitors and if they could lure him could improve themselves and weaken a team they are chasing."

    very sure.

Great. But I still think Haynesworth hits the market. He may be kind enough to let the Titans have a shot at him but I can't see either side doing much after the regular season or the post season.

All they - COWS - need is an good QB. Jessestylex man Houston is where good QBs go to become FA Backups - If they are lucky enough to get another contract.

The Cows need an OL, the Cows needed an OL last year as well. The Cows have needed an OL since 2002 when they were born from the latest NFL-LA abortion.

Expansion season looked like the Cows had the making of an OL, then Tony "skinny shoulder pads" Boselli stayed crippled and they have yet to get a LT so therefore their whole OL has sucked since inception. Only QBs who can levitate have a chance of success for the Cows

Haynesworth is not our only top player without a contract at years end. Collins, bironas and scaife are all important and signing haynesworth means 2 of those guys are gone.
