I think a lot of McCareins problem in NY was lack of consistency at QB. The Chow offense spreads the ball around, which would make him a decent overall fit.

He's a mediocre WR at best. We've got plenty of guys who fit that description already. If the organization has to wash this guys socks one more time it would be a waste of money.

do we really have a lot of mediocre WRs? i think we have one above average(jones) three below average(roby, williams and gage) and the unknown in givens. mediocre sounds pretty good right now.

there ya go - some truth
his NY downfalls are not entirely his own
I think Justin could come in and play quickly
he has the ability to get down field
h'd prob be good for 500-700 yards with maybe 3-7 TD's (taking the under)
but then again, Scaife or Troupe could pull that off

this is not the offense that'll produce a 1300yd / 10+ TD wideout
so as long as the guy can run proper routes and catch (?) he'll contribute to the concept of moving the chains.
If there is a place for a Justin Gage then there's a place for McCareins

The more I think about this the more I agree with you Brian. The only way I see us making a move for Mc is if it basically cost us nothing in the way of compensation and even then he would have to earn a roster spot by playing significantly better than one of the younger guys.

Also, we just signed Gage who was essentially brought in to play the role Mc would play. Not sure what they saw in Gage but that is why they went out and signed him.

Finally, this is supposed to be one of the better draft top to bottom for WRs. If there ever was a year we could find the next diamond in the ruff, a guy with a 4th or 5th or later pick that could surpass Mc in talent maybe this is the year. Maybe we should draft a Higgins or Miike Walker instead and if we do go WR early in the draft we simply don't have enough roster spots to keep a couple of rookies and the other guys. Not that I mind cutting some of the guys we have but I sure don't want to give up on a guy like Orr before he has a chance to prove himself and any WR we take before round 5 is almost sure to make the roster.

I did say mediocre "at best", but I was being kind. He's below average.

Once again, what does my age have to do with anything, honestly, you show immaturity when you try to make fun of kids you think are 12, most people on this site post to give opinions about the titans, not "attempt" to fry teenagers...Please can we just end this?
