McNair to count over 1/4 of our cap space

    Even if they wanted to trade him, which clearly to me they don't, but even if they did, as I understand it the team we trade him to would have to pay what we are paying... IMO, a third is lucky to garner by virtue of McNair being next to untradeable because of his crazy contract with us.

    'm so over McNair.
    What happens to the Titans money situation if McNair says, "I quit?"

    Where's the dead money or cap # or whatever? What if McNair retired? Are we all good or does his contract still hurt us? It feels like McNair is retarding the rebuilding process.:irked:

    That was my point that it is ridiculous to think we could get a 1st round pick for McNair as stated earlier. I would assume that right now the Titans are looking to get their 3rd rounder back by dealing Volek considering they will draft a QB. However, if a deal came up for a third involving McNair that would be tempting as well and save more CAP money.
