Kerrigan is as good a prospect as any OLB- DE in this draft except for Bowers. His consistency was outstanding. 13 sacks this year 12 sacks last year in the big ten. He had 5 more sacks his last 2 years at Purdue than Brandon Graham had his last 2 years.

Big ten defensive player of the year. Not much more needs to be said.

His size and timed speed in the combine will indicate how high he goes. If he is at least 6'3 1/2 over 260 and runs a 4.75 he will be a top 12 pick.

Now that we know we are staying with the 4-3 i think the talk of a pass rushing linebacker is over. If you want a pass rusher it needs to be a 4-3 DE like Quinn or Kerrigan not a hybrid guy.

I would rather get an interior lineman. Let's see how Derrick Morgan turns out before we draft another DE.

I'd be down with Dareus for sure.

    Well, to start...

...he is 6'4", 306 lbs, can play DE or DT, is freakishly athletic and dominated the national championship game where he knocked out Colt McCoy and got an INT for a touchdown.

I think that's the problem. His hype comes off ONE play (the INT). And basically, a QB just handed him a ball... he was just in the right place at the right time. He didn't actually do anything but close his hands and lumber his fatazz in to the endzone.

We can't give him credit for knocking Colt McCoy out when it wasn't a tough hit by any means. Just some freak injury.

Outside of that game, what has he done?

I like Prince but I'd rather not take a CB at 8, if we get a Dline that doesn't blow our corners are more than passable. If Fairley or the DT from Bama (Can't remember his name ever) is there at 8 I want that to be our pick.
