Meeks lands in Carolina

    <p><em>Posted by ESPN.com's Paul Kuharsky</em></p> <p>Ron Meeks resigned in Indianapolis when it became clear the Colts were going to go a different direction under Jim Caldwell.</p> <p>Meeks has <a href="http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3862218" target="_blank">landed in Carolina</a>, where he will take over for the departed Mike Trgovac as John Fox's defensive cordinator.</p> <p>Trogovac turned down an extension and went to coach the defensive lin ein Green Bay.</p> <p>Fox lauded Meeks after landing him for a staff that's had major defections.</p> <p>"He's an outstanding teacher who has enjoyed great success as a coordinator in the league and brings a strong background of coaching championship defenses," Fox said.</p>
