Yes let's draft an OLB in a 3-4 system and use him in a 4-3 formation when we have other big needs.

Speaking as someone who wants us to draft Locker, if we passed him up for a linebacker, I'd be very angry. No offense but QB takes precedent over any position.

No he doesn't he is about as right as half the GMs in the league. All he does is rank all the players so how could he be wrong all the time?

His #1 guy on his board last year was Suh. Ever heard of him you are a Lions fan? Already the best DT in the game.

You are the one who bombs every year.

Because he constantly ranks the worst players at the top and the best players toward the bottom.

    He's terrible at evaluating talent.

And yeah, give him credit for the guys that are #1 on EVERYONE's board. Good grief...

He sucks any time he doesn't say exactly what everyone else that watches football thinks.

I've always liked Mel. Sure he's wrong a lot but when you're projecting every player in every draft you're going to be wrong a lot. He's also right a lot too. I personally like his insight on the player and how they played in college.

Stop talking ignorant. His big board is not that different from all the others. Look at Mayock, Mcshay, NFL draft scout, great blue north or draft countdown. His top 25 is not that different from them.

There are always busts taken in the top 10 GMs making millions of dollars draft busts all the time.

You said that Earl Thomas was a horrible pick and he had 5 ints. You said that Carlos Dunlap is dumb and he had 10 sacks. You are the one who can't judge players and you are biased against players from the SEC and black QBs.

Another thing about Kiper is that he is not dogmatic. He will praise a pick even if the guy is the 10th best player on his board if he likes the player anyway and sees how they fit that team.

While he does have a staff working for him he certainly does not have the same resources the teams have with scouts, coaches and the opportunity to talk to the players.

I'm not a subscriber to espn insider but if any of you is a subsciber you can go back to the 2003 draft or any other draft far back enough to judge the players. Go look at the 2003 draft and see how we would have done had we just picked the best player on Mel's board in the first 3 rounds.

I think Jason witten was #1 on the board when we took Calico.
