sorry Gloat, I really wanted to see Memphis win this one
When are you anything but pessimistic.
The way they were hitting free throws for a while, I thought Memphis was going to win easily. Then they came back to earth.
Dorsey fouling out was the difference. His fifth was inexcusable.
They asked Calipari before the tourny started if he was concerned about Memphis' poor free throw shooting, and he said "No, we'll hit them when we need to". They needed to hit them at the end of regulation, but didn't and it cost them the game.
What Calipari should have said when asked about their free throw shooting, "Yes, I am concerned, and we will spend extra time at practice on free throws".
Memphis=Bluff City, just can't finish...
Boy, Memphis really choked. I guess the free-throws came back and bit them in the ***.
yeah I remember listening to that interview and now it seems all too ironic
What a monumental choke job. Poor coaching at the end. You would think that after UT won by fouling ahead by 3, Memphis would do the same thing...
In anything but sports. Pessimism is the best outlook when it comes to sports teams so you can only be pleasantly surprised rather than greatly disappointed.
Tigers lose to the Cardinals in world series.
Michigan loses to Appalacian State.
Titans lose superbowl by 1 yard.
Memphis loses championship after being up 9 with 2 minutes left.
Yep. God hates me.
