Mike Reinfeldt's Draft Picks Minus first round

    There are so many factors involved in whether or not a player does well in the NFL. A team scout can base a recommendation on different factors-college results, coaches' statements, how the kid will fit into the system of play, and others. Then, it's how the kid responds to the challenge of NFL play. So really, aside from the stats on each person, most everything else is subjective and sometimes the conclusions simply don't pan out. Pacman comes to mind as one big mistake on several levels. And sometimes, the player and coach simply cannot work together because of issues relating to both. Players have big egos, coaches have big egos, owners have even bigger egos, so you see the problem of getting them all to work off the same page and manage all the egos at the same time. Some coaching staffs can do that, some can't. Some seem to run out of steam after a while. Fisher ran out about five years ago,

    I thought Fisher had final say on personnel decisions. Is the draft not classed as personnel?

    Reinfeldt is a bean counter salary-cap guy, he isn't a draft guru. I don't think he has much say.
