Just getting back on the forums here after awhile off. Any MMA fans here? I didn't see an overall/running MMA thread.

Anyone watching the UFC card tonight? A few really exciting fights to look forward to:
    MAX HOLLOWAY VS.ANTHONY PETTIS
    Matt Brown vs. Donald Cerrone
    Dooho Choi vs. Cub Swanson
    Kelvin Gastelum vs. Tim Kennedy

Although, I'm not sure if the Holloway vs Pettis fight is still for the interim belt? It's a main event, sp it'll still be 5 rounder and likely a #1 contenders match, either way.

145lbs is just such a joke and mess, now. They haven't had a title defense in over a year, and when they finally try to legitimize the belt again one of the challengers miss weight. Lol

Aldo is king Mcgregor is trailer trash.

Conor Mcgregor has ruined UFC with the help of Dana white. Conor gets to fight who he wants when he wants and never had to defend anything he's ever won. Stopped watching UFC after they started letting Conor do whatever he wanted, starting with the Diaz rematch.

Aldo is the real champion. Conor's showboating, mouth, and getting whatever he wants has ruined the sport of fighting and turned it into shenanigans.

Still love the OG kings Aldo and Jon Jones

I used to watch it, but now it's too much floor work. More like a wrestling match than a fight. Boring.

I've done the math on Conor as champion. You remember he bragged about being a double champion before getting in the UFC? He never defended either of those belts, either. He claims he won't defend a UFC belt until at least June 2017. If he waits until June 2017 to defend a belt, he will have clocked nearly 3 years as champion with zero total title defenses. Hahaha

Jon Jones is the real deal inside the cage, but he kills himself outside the cage. He just can't wear a straight head or he'd be unstoppable. Reminds me of Pacman Jones during his Titan stint. :p

Yea, they do way too much promotion and back story of why every fight is a hate-filled grudge match. I've never been keen on watching their pre-fight pressers or their hour-long videos following the fights around training and crap. I just show up on fight night for the action.

Jon Jones was on joe rogans podcast recently. He sounds like he's got his head on straight now. Well, he talked a good game at least.

Why would he go on joe rogans podcast? Doesn't he know that everyone listens to @5tweezyPOT and @Tennessy XO 's podcast these days?

Yep, I watched and was extremely impressed. Wasn't really any excuses, had a good humour and level head about everything, accepting his punishment ... seemed like he'd really matured and got his head on straight. I really hope so ... guess we will find out come July.

Some of the better prelims that have been aired in awhile. Got me primed and ready for the big show. Woohoo!

By the way, the word on the interim title in the main event ... if Max Holloway wins the belt, then he is the interim champion, but Pettis will just be the #1 contender. So, it's a title fight ... for 1 fighter. lol 145lb division continues to become more and more of a joke. Some straight up WWE-type stuff.

Max Holloway can become the first UFC fighter to ever win a championship by defeating someone that is officially out of his weightclass, though. :p

Whole card lived up to the hype tonight. The 1 fight I thought might be the worst fight on the card was actually fight of the night ... maybe fight of the year. Maybe the best PPV of the year, outside the first Nate vs Conor card.
