Here is a mock 1.0 that was just posted. I cannot see using a #8 pick on a DE (AGAIN). I think CB, LB, S, QB (depends on the DECISION) would better serve this defense. That thing was all kinds of jacked up. That's one of those mocks that you just don't pay attention to.
I could see another DE, Babin, Ball, and Ford are all free agents. Who knows how long before Morgan is back to full form? And, I think Robert Quinn is going to be amazing for whoever drafts him. If he's there at our pick, I can only hope we take him.
Every mock I've seen has us taking Akeem Ayers. I guess that would be good. I wouldn't mind him or one of the corners (if we don't go QB *Sigh*) but Morgan and Babin, I'm cool with at DE.
That mock draft is pretty bad. Nate Solder 4th overall? Jake Locker 7th overall? Christian Ponder 15th overall? Nick Fairley 17th overall? I wouldn't mind DaQuan. With all of our DL FAs it may be needed. Morgan / Bowers could be dominate DEs. I don't think it's likely though, I also don't think we'd take any DE besides Bowers at #8.
