    SUMMARY: The Titans finally played a game like most of us thought they could.

    With Tennessee not winning a game since last December and the monkey on their back growing weekly, the Titans finally pulled together their best effort of the season which was enough to post their first notch in the victory column. "We played smarter football today," said LB David Thornton. "We got turnovers on the defensive side of the ball and the offense did a great job of protecting the ball. Those were the differences."

    Let's look at the Titans 30-13 win over the Jaguars and grade the team by position.

    Vince deserved an A for his play. 3 third down runs for first downs. a 114 passing rating and no turnovers. What more could we ask?

    His low yardage number was only because we didn't need to throw the ball very much since we had almost 300 yards rushing. He had a near perfect game!

    If we were talking Peyton Manning here, would we see this as an "A" performance?

    I would consider an 83 percent completion rate and a rating of 114 "A" work. The only reason he had less yards was because of the fact they were up so many points and the running of CJ.
