More praise for Mariota from around the league

If he was a free agent last year no reason he wouldn't at worst be entering a wide open camp competition for a starting job somewhere. He won't go somewhere getting all the 1 reps, but half or a third is better than none. At that point even if he doesn't win the job if he gets the opportunity in season he should be more prepared to impress.

 

If Tanney was a viable backup he wouldn't of been on our PS

There's no getting around the fact that when given the opportunity to shine mett has looked bad. He did it in college and now in the pros. He had 2 elite wrs in college and couldn't do crap. Now in the nfl he looks even worse. Personally I'd cut him just to keep him away from lewan (an actual elite prospect). He can't come in and win us games so what's his value? Nothing.

 

I agree with you but what does that tell you that Lewan, Wright, Hunter all wanted to stick with Mett? Is it that they know squat? Is it that they're stupid like 520?
