I think it's intentionally supposed to be bad and they want this to be a movie you laugh at. Why do I say that? David Hasselhoff sighting.

Skyfall - On the fence about how good this is. I think it is better than Quantum of Solace but I think Casino Royale just pips it a little. The ending was a bit non-Bondish for my likings.

Though it would have been awesome if

    Lawless 6/10

Dull, not very good structurally, full of cliches, nothing intelligent about the screenplay, and overall just pretty boring. Pretty disappointing for a movie with Tom Hardy, Gary Oldman, Guy Pierce and Nick Cave attached to it.

The biggest problem with the movie was the characters. Pierce was too much of a Disney Villain to take seriously, Hardy's one dimensional deliver the entire movie made him forgettable, Oldman was in it for about 2 minutes. Shia Labeouf got too much screen time, and although he acted well in the movie, overall, like all the other characters, it lacked any true substance and style.

Went and saw Skyfall 9/10 the best Bond film. As really Daniel Craig has come into his home. With James Bond!

Finally got around to watching The Amazing Spider-Man. After hearing a ton of bad things, I was pleasantly surprised. Didn't love it, but liked it quite a bit. My main issues are with casting and the decision to make Peter Parker this "cool yet unpopular" type. I like my Peter Parkers extra nerdy please. But I can't really hold that against Garfield as it was no doubt a director/studio decision. And even though I love me some Emma Stone, for some reason I still can't put my finger on I just didn't like her in this role.

And Sally Field as Aunt May....

She played a very arrogant Gwen Stacey. Still better than Kirsten Dunce.

Somewhere between this version and Sam's movie lies the best Spiderman..
Emma wasn't appealing because the Gwen role was neutered. That's ok because we all know what Green Goblin does to Gwen - enter Mary Jane.
I like Andrew Garfield but he's not Spiderman, of course neither was Toby. At least it wasn't Chris Evans.
The gratuitous wire-fu/Matrix slow-mo scenes can finally go please. They served no purpose here and the trend has been beat to a haggard death. Why why why does the studio insist on using them. Ugh.

I think he's just referring to the main romance for Peter.

Yep, preferred Stone over Dunce as the romance. Couldn't stand MJ.
