I like the new Hobbit movie more than any of the LOTRs.

Was a totally different film than I thought it would be.

    Watched Les Mis.

More like Les Miss... am I right? Huh? Huh?

But really- great individual performances from Hathaway, Jackman, and a couple others but just doesn't translate to film like it does on stage. Lacks that same power.
    Creeping-Cruds high fives this.

    Does it ever?
Movies, like pop music (especially these days) are content edited to move the story along so you have an assembled performance from a zillion different takes. You can see that unevenness in a lot of films.
Stage (as you would know more than anyone here probably) is bank or bust.
Props to anyone who can own a stage..

    21 Jump Street - C+

Much better than I expected, but then again, I had little expectations. I had more than a few laughs, and although it does rely on a lot of toilet humor, there were some wits every now and then. The cameo at the end was hilarious and I loved the digs they made at Hollywood during a chase scene. Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum worked well together and I thought Hill is actually funnier in this than in Superbad. Good enough to where I'll wanna check out the sequel.
