Titans rookie Chance Warmack was somewhat critical of himself for his performance in Thursday’s preseason opener against the Redskins

Coach Mike Munchak defended the team’s first round pick on Friday, however.

Warmack allowed a sack in the first quarter, but he also had a key block to spring running back Shonn Greene on his 19-yard touchdown run.

“Everyone’s technique needs work, but I’d say it was a good solid start for him,’’ Munchak said. “He had some good cut-blocks … and we had him pulling. There’s always going to be technique stuff he needs to get better at … but it was a good start for him.”
