Titans coach Mike Munchak said he could decide by Thursday whether Matt Hasselbeck or Jake Locker will start the first preseason game of the year in Seattle.

But he said that decision won’t hold great significance.

“It’s not a big deal,” Munchak said. “We’re not acting like we’re holding something that’s going to be some great info. We’re in camp mode. We’re not really thinking about Saturday yet.”

Munchak said the two quarterbacks, who are battling to begin the season as the starter, should split time against the Seahawks.

“They’re both going to play about the same amount of time, so I just think it’s a matter of them going out and playing the best they can while they’re out there and the groups they’re with,” Munchak said.

Munchak said the starter this week against Seattle would not necessarily be the back-up next week against Tampa Bay.

“I haven’t given that much thought,” Munchak said. “It’s a decision we can make when we’re in the moment.”
