Titans coach Mike Munchak knows his 4-6 team has a difficult task heading down the stretch if it hopes to qualify for the playoffs.

Tennessee’s last six games: at Jacksonville, Houston, at Indianapolis, N.Y. Jets, at Green Bay, Jacksonville.

“You have to assume you have to win five games, six games,” Munchak said. “We don’t know. I mean anything is possible these days. But usually you don’t see a lot of 8-8 teams getting in, just going by the history.

“I think what you realize is you can’t get caught up in all of that. You’ve just got to win them and see what happens, see what other teams do. That’s not something, obviously, we’re concerned with ourselves. We have to find a way to win two in a row, which we’ve only done once this year, so we’ve got our work cut out for us.”

It is interesting to note that only six teams in the AFC have winning records, with Cincinnati sitting at .500.

“That’s encouraging knowing that if you start winning, put a winning streak together, that you have six weeks left,” Munchak said. “We have to win a lot of football games, but if we do, then we’re right in the middle of this thing.

“ But we have to win … We haven’t won a division game yet, and we have three here in a row, so we have to start winning them.”

You have to assume you need all six, dummy.

Don't ever give the team the attitude that it's okay to lose one more game.

But from a fan's standpoint, he's probably right.

Well yea, if we won out at 10-6 we are a lock most likely. Not to mention the opinion of this team changes drastically.

We will win at least 3... but I'm expecting to win 4 of them and finish 8-8. That could be good enough for the 6th seed. We'll see.

Based on what we have seen from the team this year i would have to agree with Amy. Unless our win in Miami has convinced you that we now have a defense and a down field passing game. Just hard to ignore how horrible we have played this year and one fired up game isn't changing my mind. It only gives us a little hope.

Beat the Jags then we can talk about the next one. If we can win the next 2 games then and only then should the word playoffs be used.

Henne will be starting on sunday and he owned us the last time we played against him. Let's see how our defense does sunday.
