SUMMARY: In the Titans first game, Kerry Collins came in for an injured Vince Young and completed a screen pass to Bo Scaife on a third-and-15, who ran for 44 yards and later, the game-clinching touchdown. After a 30 of 41 passes for 289 yards and two touchdowns game in the Titans 21-14 win over the Bears on Sunday, Tom Jackson of ESPN said Collins should be considered an NFL MVP candidate. At age 35, Collins is just excited to be a starter in the league again. "I am enjoying it, and excited to be a part of it, but it is hard to enjoy it too much because there is always work to be done," Collins said. "You play long enough and you are going to be on good teams and bad teams, and at this point in my career to be playing and on a good football to have a chance to win on Sundays is exciting."

the only way this argument can be made is if you take the meaning of MVP literally, Most Valuable Player. every one knows that the MVP award goes to the Most Outstanding Player.

Tom Jackson said it and Kornhole did on PTI today as well.

In the AFC, who is more deserving?

I'd said Haynesworth or Chris Johnson until recently. Favre? Ray Ray? Porter?

WHOA, there tiger! Let's not get excited over ONE game. He's been managing up to this point, not outstanding (or with great value).

The TITANS MVP is Chris Johnson, right now. No way he'll displace CJ! :pigfly:

No way KC is MVP. He is doing a great job for us these past couple games but lets be realistic.

The passing game has opened for us ever since Indy stacked the line and was effective against our run game. Green Bay did it and Chicago followed suite. Putting 8-9 in the box allows our receivers man to man opening up the field for Collins. Any NFL worthy quarterback would be having similar if not better success.

The real MVP should be the two headed monster in the backfield.

No team is game planning for Collins.
