Of the top 10 CB's in this years draft, only 5 come off as good enough to be on my favorite team. The 5 guys I'd hope we don't draft are: 1.) Stephon Gilmore South Carolina 2.) Josh Robinson UCF 3.) Janoris Jenkins North Alabama 4.) Casey Hayward Vanderbilt 5.) Alfonzo Dennard Nebraska Now for the football players I approve of: 1.) Dre Kirkpatrick Alabama 2.) Morris Claiborne LSU 3.) Jayron Hosley Virginia Tech 4.) Jamell Fleming Oklahoma 5.) Ron Brooks LSU Thoughts? *DISCLAIMER: I base everything off on-the-field-play. Workout warriors and good students mean nothing here.
I'm a big fan of Jamell Fleming from Oklahoma, especially is we can get him in the 3rd. He reminds me of a slightly taller Cortland. Physical tackler, average speed, good instincts, and a hard worker.
Janoris will fall into the 2nd. Wouldn't surprise me if he falls to pick #52. Wouldn't mind taking a risk on him there.
I agree. Especially if we do take a DL in the 1st. I'd risk a 2nd on him. We all know our track record with 2nd rounders isn't very impressive. I'd take a chance on him.
