OLB isn't a big need. Ayers gets the job done, and is young. Witherspoon started solid... was average towards the end of the year. But provides leadership for our young defense. Not to mention with all the nickle sets we do, how often do we have all 3 LBs on the field?
Witherspoon has a year left in the tank if that. Perfect year to draft an OLB imo. I think we make a mistake to wait until we don't have an OLB to draft an OLB.
I'm hoping we got OLB 1st round next year. Fix our DL/OL in this draft. Then OLB and SAFETY early next year. Gerald Hodges is a name i'll be watching next year for OLB
I think that Nico Johnson will shine now that he is less overshadowed by Upshaw and Hightower. I have us going 1) Johnson 2)Rambo next season
Thank you! IDK why people keep saying we need a LB. Ayers and McCarthy have an amazing amount of potential (Ayers more so the McCarthy) and Witherspoon may have been out second best player on defense last season.
