Without looking at the schedule game by game, I know we have a very tough opening act followed by a softer second half. I expect us to start off somewhere in the neighborhood of 3-5, probably looking rough at times and maybe getting blown out by Seattle and/ or SF. We will face adversity, and it will be tough.

However, this adversity will create a team out of this squad. We have a TON of new faces. Bunch of guys who haven't played together. They will be tested early, and will have to learn quickly to play as a unit or get beat handily. I think this paves the way for a good second half. We play easier teams, and will have already overcome serious obstacles.

If this team (and coaching staff) has any mental fortitude then they'll pick up the pieces, take what they learned in the first half, and really start to gel. I think the addition of Greg Williams will be a paramount contribution to this process. In fact, I expect us to finish up very strong, probably around 5-3. I think by the end of the season our offensive line will be man handling teams, and our defense will be looking ferocious. I expect Jurrell Casey, Zach Brown and Akeem Ayers to all have huge years. Help from Wilson, Pollard, Wimbley and Morgan certainly won't hurt our case. We will carry momentum into the offseason, and our 8-8 record will seem far greater than just +2 wins from last year's abysmal 6-10.

It'll be rough early, fellas. A lot of fake fans may jump ship on the Titans after a painful first half. But just wait.... We addressed a lot of needs this offseason and we ARE heading in the right direction. We will be respected by the end of this season, and 2014 may FINALLY be the start of our window of opportunity. We all know who it will rely upon.....

I can tell you I will never jump ship, even at the worst of times, which we have ALL felt. I agree with you that we are no doubt a better team now and that it will take some time, I just hope that our defense can show up and perform and that Locker can FINALLY comand this team as a 1st rounder should. It is early, and I know people are nervous, but it takes time to get things right, and I was very happy to see them make moves and be aggressive this offseason. I guess only time will tell if 2012 repeats itself or not right?!

I'm sorry, but 8-8 warrants cleaning house, coaches and QB. This team hasn't made the playoffs in 5 years and hasn't won a playoff game in 10. No way you can say that 8-8 is heading in the right direction. Maybe 3 years ago we could say that, but at this point, Munchack and crew would have given us all they can if this team goes 8-8.

It's playoffs or bust this year for the coaches, and Locker, if you ask me.

I honestly think we have a better team than most people think. Didn't really expect us to go in the right direction post VY/Fisher but I think we're making improvements as a franchise and that we'll finally hit our groove this season.

I think our D-Line play will be greatly improved this season and will help to sure up the defense. I still have faith that Pollard and Griffin can hold down the safety spots and that Verner and McCourty will prove good enough to get us W's.

On offense I think we'll have one of the best run offenses in the league. I think that alone will get us a lot of wins especially if we're able to force turnovers and hold onto the ball. CJ can still break one off from anywhere (quick scores) and now we have the bruisers to pound out the short game. Think about our front 5 and then think about who's running behind them.

4th quarter might be some of our best football.

I'm excited about the season. Hope we get back to knocking out multiple QB's a season.

Playoffs or bust? You're kidding yourself. Look at our schedule. Half our games are against playoff contenders.

Every team is subject to change and freak occurrence. Good teams can suck or just barely get beat in close games and miss the playoffs while lesser teams can find good fortune (Colts in 2012). One thing I am sure of is that we finally have a chance to beat the Chargers with Teo anchoring down that D! I am SO ready to beat the damn Chargers!

It depends how that 8-8 looks. If Locker looks good, but our defense is awful and we are competitive in every game I'm all for keeping everyone besides Gray around. If we just plain look bad all around and Locker stinks it up, but we find a way to get lucky and win 8 games, we should clean house. However I have faith in Locker this year. He's looked good in preseason and has gotten good reviews in training camp. Not too confident in our defense though.
