^^ Well it's pretty much guaranteed Ariza leaves now considering Artest is coming to LA. The Lakers just got better.

Artest has wanted to play with Kobe for years, so this is cool. I though he would have signed with LA a couple years ago, but it didn't happen.
Odom, Artest, Gasol, Kobe, Shannon Brown... that length and athleticism would be a nightmare for teams.

well as far as i know odom, ariza, brown are all free agents and the lakers haven't really tried to keep one of them much less all 3. So laker fans need to ask themselves is artest>ariza, odom?

He's better than both individually. I'm hoping they keep Odom. I like Ariza, and it'd suck to lose him also, but it looks like that's going to happen for sure.

Sasha needs to leave. With the money from the draft, they should be able to hang on to either Odom or Ariza. Ariza is going to regret it if he takes the same money from another team and watches the Lakers celebrate again next year.

I'd be shocked if Odom doesn't come back.

It was other teams best interest to keep good players off the cavs team anyways.

they already fear Lebron and Shaq.

Huh? No it was in the players best interest not to go to the Cavs. Cleveland offered Artest the exact same contract that the Lakers did and they offered Ariza the same contract Houston did. They also tried to get Charlie Villanueva but they offered him a little less money than Detroit.

I think it was the free agents that were scared of LeBron and Shaq, not other teams. Why would a free agent want to sign a multi-year contract with Cleveland when Shaq and LeBron both only have 1 year left on their deals and there is a really big chance both of them are gone after this year. They're scared they will sign with Cleveland and LeBron will go to New York after next year and Shaq will leave without an extension.
