I have been in the league 31 years and I have never seen anything like that. We never told him to go get the ball. It will never happen again.

 

You cannot perform miracles with subpar talent. I don't care who you are. We're probably fortunate the secondary isn't any worse than it is. Anyway, it will take another draft + free agency to begin to fix the holes we have. No secret to anyone in the organization or the fans.

 

Funny how everyone acknowledges we are hurting for talent but after every loss the board lights up complaining about it. We know, they know - guess it just feels better to vent.

 

Again, bad situational football, this time from an inexperienced player. I'm sure he'll be appropriately criticized in the film room.

True. We all knew about the secondary problems in pre-season. And wide receiver. And a few other places. Has Cox and company had some good moments this year? Sure. But compared to their peers on other teams, everyone knows we are vulnerable....and exploit it. No surprises, really.
